Winter Texan Expo & Health Fair
Don't miss the 24th Annual Winter Texan Expo & Health Fair January 17 and 18, 2017 at the McAllen Convention Center in McAllen, Texas. All senior citizens are welcome to this event that features free health screenings, vendor freebies and door prizes along with quality entertainment throughout the day. This annual Expo event is brought to you by South Texas Health System and sponsored by HEB, Amazon, Gulf Coast Eye Institute, Texas Regional Bank and more.
The event includes a variety of entertainment going on both days including live music on the main stage and dancing in the ballroom. Some of the entertainment includes JC Harrison, a country music performer with influences from Garth Brooks and George Strait. Goldwing Express, a family band featuring mandolin, guitar, banjo, dobro, fiddle and some comic relief along with the show. Pelican West is a local band with a massive song list to draw from. They connect with their audience making them very popular with Winter Texans visiting the Valley every year. Ron & Jan Betzelberger have been square dancing since 1976 and round dancing since 1982. They travel around the Illinois area doing Fun Night programs. Hundreds of couples have learned square and round dancing from this talented couple. Donna Myers teaches line dancing and based out of Sunshine Country Club Estates and Tropic Winds RV Resort. Donna has been teaching line dancing for over 10 years.
